Fisk University to Host “One Day for Fisk” Community Giving Event on March 26

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 24, 2025) – Fisk University will host its inaugural One Day for Fisk celebration on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM on campus at 1000 17th Avenue North. This event is part of a larger giving campaign to raise funds for the Fisk Fund, which supports scholarships, student programs, academic innovation, and campus life.

One Day for Fisk is designed as a vibrant on-campus experience that brings together students, alumni, faculty, staff, and community members. The event will feature music from DJ King Curry, a variety of local food trucks including NoFuss Tacos, Itz a Philly Thing, Music City Brisket, Bondi Bowls, and The Pepper Pot, and live social media coverage throughout the day.

“We’re working to build a strong and lasting culture of philanthropy at Fisk,” said Crystal Evans, Vice President for Development and Alumni Affairs. “This day is about more than fundraising—it’s about showing what’s possible when our community comes together. We want students to see themselves as part of that culture early on, and for all supporters to feel directly connected to the impact of their giving.”

President Agenia Walker Clark added, “Fisk is focused on sustaining its legacy for the next 150 years. We have to be intentional about how we engage, how we invest, and how we plan. This moment isn’t just about a single day of giving—it’s about creating habits, expectations, and infrastructure that will sustain Fisk for generations to come.”

Livestream check-ins and behind-the-scenes content via the Fisk University Instagram page will offer virtual participants a look into the day’s excitement, while on-campus guests can enjoy food, music, and fellowship in support of a meaningful cause.
