Natalie A. Borneo

Natalie A. Borneo is a Distinguished Lecturer of Risk Management and Insurance at Fisk University a Historical Black University located in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role, she is responsible for designing and developing the foundational curriculum and specialized syllabi for the university’s Insurance courses within the Department of Business Administration. Her courses include Introduction to Risk Management and Insurance, Life, Health & Wellness, Insurance and Society, Insurance Innovation and Communities, Claims Management & Operations, and The Changing Landscape of Insurance and Business Ethics.

Beyond academia, Natalie serves as the Lead Educational Consultant for The Ryan Family Insurance Program for Success and Equal Opportunity (R.I.S.E.) an initiative dedicated to developing talent from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and cultivating the next generation of insurance professionals.

Prior to her current role, Natalie was the Senior Director of Program Operations at Dress for Success Worldwide, where she co-led the strategy and operational development for Dress for Success’ signature programs. Her work aligned with the organization’s mission to empower women, impacting 140+ affiliates worldwide and supporting self-referred participants in achieving economic independence and financial stability.

With a career spanning nearly four decades in Risk Management and Insurance, Natalie began her journey in 1986 at Marsh & McLennan after earning a B.A. in Insurance from Howard University's School of Business & Public Administration. Over the years, she has held key leadership roles, including Managing Director of Risk Management Casualty and East Zone Compliance Officer. Her professional experience also includes positions at Wells Fargo Insurance Services and Aon Risk Management, where she contributed to the advancement of risk management and insurance operations.
