Vaco and Fisk University launch workforce education workshops, internship placements
Vaco, a talent and solutions firm that provides consulting, contract, and direct hire solutions to more than 40 markets around the globe, has launched a partnership with Fisk University and its Nashville office to help better prepare students as they enter the workforce. Through the partnership, Vaco will provide educational workshops focusing on resume and interview skills in collaboration with Fisk University’s Center for Career Planning and Development. Fisk University Awarded $1 Million Grant from UNCF® Career Pathways Initiative
Fisk University has been awarded $1 million from the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), as part of UNCF’s Career Pathways Initiative (CPI). The funding will allow Fisk to develop and enhance career readiness programming to better prepare undergraduate students for the workforce upon graduation. Funded by the Eli Lilly Endowment, Inc., the CPI provides support to select historically black colleges and universities (HBCU) for career preparation initiatives. To Read More Click Here
Fisk University Announces $3 Million Gift Toward Career Planning Center
Nashville, Tenn., August 20, 2018 – Fisk University is excited to announce a $3 million gift from Dallas Businessman and Philanthropist Roland G. Parrish, one of the largest gifts in the school’s history. This historic gift will fund the construction of the new Roland G. Parrish Center for Career Planning and Development that will house everything from classrooms to conference rooms, as well as meeting and innovation spaces.
