The Department of Business Administration recognizes that clearly defined students learning outcomes are essential for a dynamic business program and it has in place a comprehensive outcomes assessment program. The Department, on a regular basis, continues to develop goals and processes to enhance learning outcomes and document improvements and achievements.
The Department of Business Administration administers Senior Exit Examination to graduating seniors each year to assess student retention of the core business subjects. The following is the graph showing student performance in Senior Exit Examination for 2015, 2016, and 2017 school years.

Fisk University ENACTUS Team
Enactus is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring students to improve the world through entrepreneurial action. We provide a platform for teams of outstanding university students to create community development projects that put people’s own ingenuity and talents at the center of improving their livelihoods. Guided a faculty leader (the Sam Walton Fellow) and supported by business leaders, our students take the kind of entrepreneurial approach that empowers people to be a part of their own success. Our work transforms both the lives of the people we serve, and in turn, the lives of our students as they develop into more effective, values-driven leaders.
Like in business, we believe that competition encourages creativity and rewards results. For Enactus, it means more lives impacted. An annual series of regional and national competitions provides a forum for teams to showcase the impact of their outreach efforts and to be evaluated by executives serving as judges. National champion teams advance to the prestigious Enactus World Cup to experience excellence in competition, collaboration and celebration.
The Fisk Enactus team has participated in 16 Regional Competitions and has won 14 of them. In addition the team was the first-runner up and rookie of the year at the National Competitions. In 2015 the team presented one of its projects at the International Business Model Competition at the Microsoft campus in Seattle Washington, and ranked 10th in the world from a field of 4,200 applicants.
Fisk Enactus team is engaged in international projects and is collaborating with the Northern Caribbean University (NCU) in developing Community Tourism in Jamaica, West Indies.
The Honda Campus All-Star Challenge (HCASC) program
In 1989, Honda joined with the College Bowl Company to establish the Honda Campus All-Star Challenge (HCASC) in support of the unique mission of America’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Honda’s commitment to HBCUs and their communities demonstrates their belief that success is not measured only in the cars they produce, but in the lives they enhance.
HCASC is as much a personal development and learning activity as it is a game of quick recall. Participants learn first-hand how teamwork and discipline creates success. They learn that pursuing knowledge for its own sake is valuable. Players respect and celebrate each individual’s contributions to the goals of their team.
HCASC participants contribute in their local communities for HBCU-initiated service projects. Through these projects, participants embody the commitment to community that is core to the HCASC mission.
Starting in 1996, the National tier of the program evolved to an annual gathering of HBCUs to compete at a face-to-face National Championship Tournament. Every spring, students, coaches, campus coordinators, volunteers, HBCU presidents, and Honda associates gather to crown the National Champion. Fisk University won the National Championship for the first time in the spring of 2016. Only 12 other HBSCU have won this championship.
