Fisk University to Operate Virtually on Friday, January 10, 2025, Due to Inclement Weather
Nashville, TN — Due to the forecasted winter storm for Friday, January 10, 2025, Fisk University will close its campus on that day to ensure the safety of the campus community. All on-campus operations will be suspended, and faculty and staff will transition to remote work.
Students are not scheduled to return to campus until Sunday, January 12, 2025; therefore, this closure will not impact move-in or return plans. However, financial clearance has been waived as a requirement for Spring 2025 move-in. All financial shortfalls must be resolved by Wednesday, January 22, 2025, to avoid involuntary withdrawal on Thursday, January 23, 2025.
Move-in for Spring 2025 will proceed as follows:
•Students should check in at their respective residence halls at 12 p.m. on Sunday, January 12, 2025.
•The cafeteria will operate on a brunch schedule:
•Brunch: 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
•Dinner: 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Fisk University remains committed to keeping its students, faculty, and staff informed. Please monitor official university channels, including email, the Fisk website, and social media, for the latest updates.
