Andrea K. Stevenson Ph.D.

Dr. Andrea Stevenson earned her Ph.D. in Health and Kinesiology from The University of Mississippi. Her dissertation titled "A Comparison of Bone Mineral Density in African American and Caucasian College-Age Women," highlighted the different determinants of bone density between African American and Caucasian women. As an educator, Dr. Stevenson has taught a diverse range of courses, including Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, Kinesiology, and Intro to Epidemiology. As an advocate for lifelong physical activity, Dr. Stevenson is committed to promoting health and wellness both inside and outside the academic setting. Whether through research, teaching, or community engagement, she strives to inspire a passion for movement and exercise in her students and the broader community.
